Alexis-Rueal is a Columbus, Ohio poet (Columbus, by way of Marion, Ohio and Kentucky). She has been published in online and print journals such as New Verse News, Drunk in a Midnight Choir, Zoomoozophone Review, The Wild World, the London Reader, among others. She was a member of the 2016-17 season of Women of Appalachia: Women Speak project. She is also founder and facilitator of The Path Not Chosen Series.
An experienced performer, she was a member of the 2013 National Poetry Slam team from Writers’ Block poetry night in Columbus. She also performs in venues and festivals throughout Ohio and Kentucky.
She is the author of three chapbooks, Letter to 20 (Poets Haven Press), According to the Results, and Fully Formed (Writing Knights Press). Her first full-length collection, I Speak Hick, was published by Writing Knights in 2016.
